All Company performances/events listed below are all mandatory

 

Davidson College Holiday Gala

Performances are Wed, Nov. 29 at 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.  Company arrival time is 4:00 p.m.

Mandatory dress and tech rehearsal is Tues. Nov. 28, 7:00 -10:00 p.m.  Company arrival time is 4:30 p.m.

Christmas in Davidson

Dates and TBA, but Christmas in Davidson is Nov. 20, Dec.1 and Dec. 2.  We will perform ONE of these evenings.

Dance Davidson's Winter Show

Performance is TBA.  We are just waiting for Davidson College for our dates.

UNCSA Winter Dance Festival

March 1, 2, & 3

Dance Davidson's Spring Show

Performance is Sunday, May 19.  Mandatory Dress rehearsal is Saturday, May 18.

All Company A & B dancers will perform in the Dance Davidson Winter and Spring shows & are required to attend the UNCSA Festival.

All Company A dancers will perform in/attend all events listed above.

Company B company dancers may or may not perform in other performances listed above.

Apprentices MAY or MAY NOT perform in the above performance, but are required to attend the UNCSA Festival.

 

 

Ballet Company Auditions

 

• Ballet Company Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, 1:00-2:30. There is a $50.00 audition fee.
• Ballet Company members must take 3 ballet and 3 pointe/pre-pointe classes during the week in addition to the company class/rehearsals on Saturdays.  (Ballet Co. A & B will meet sometime between 1:30-4:15).  Apprentices must do the same but will only take 1 or 2 pointe/pre-pointe classes instead of 3.
• A missed class must be made up within two weeks.
• Company class/rehearsals begin Saturday, September 9, 2023.
• Soloists and demi-soloists may have weekly and/or Sunday rehearsals.
• Members and apprentices are to check the bulletin board each time they are at the studio to find out when their rehearsals are scheduled for the week. Changes may occur during the week.
• When missing rehearsals when choreography is taught, members and apprentices must schedule a private lesson with the company choreographer to learn what they missed. This private must be scheduled BEFORE the missed rehearsal and must take place in the week BEFORE the next rehearsal. The private lesson fee must be paid directly to the teacher at the time of the private lesson.
• Apprentices and company members may only miss 2 excused rehearsals per semester.
• We will have Saturday rehearsals every Saturday except Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, Winter Break and Spring Break.
• A ballet company monthly fee of $50.00 will be added to your account on September 1, 2023.

 

Contemporary Company Auditions

• Contemporary Company Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, 3:00-4:00. There is a $50.00 audition fee.
• Contemporary company members and apprentices must take 1 Contemporary class and 2 ballet classes during the week in addition to the company class/rehearsals each Saturday (between 11:30-4:00).
• Soloists and demi-soloists may have week day and/or Sunday rehearsals.
• A missed class must be made up within two weeks.
• Company class/rehearsals begin on Sept. 9, 2023.
• Members and apprentices are to check the bulletin board each time they are at the studio to find out when their rehearsals are scheduled for the week. Changes may occur during the week.
• When missing rehearsals when choreography is taught, members and apprentices must schedule a private lesson with the company choreographer to learn what they missed. This private must be scheduled BEFORE the missed rehearsal and must take place in the week BEFORE the next rehearsal. The private lesson fee must be paid directly to the teacher at the time of the private lesson.  
• Apprentices and Company members may only miss 2 excused rehearsals per semester.
• We will have rehearsals every week except during Thanksgiving break, Winter Break and Spring Break.
• A Contemporary company monthly fee of $50.00 will be added to your account on September 1, 2023.

 

• Jazz Company Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, 4:15-5:15. There is a $50.00 audition fee.
• Jazz Company members and apprentices must take 1 jazz class and 2 ballet classes during the week in addition to the weekly Saturday company class/rehearsals.  (Jazz Company A & B meet between 10:00-4:15).
• A missed class must be made up within two weeks.
• Company class/rehearsals begin the week of September 9, 2023.
• Members and apprentices are to check the bulletin board each time they are at the studio to find out when their rehearsals are scheduled for the week. Changes may occur during the week.
• When missing rehearsals when choreography is taught, members and apprentices must schedule a private lesson with the company choreographer to learn what they missed. • Tap company members and apprentices must take 1 tap class and 2 ballet classes during the week in addition to the company class/rehearsals on Fridays, Tap Company A & B meet between 4:30-8:45. 
• A missed class must be made up within two weeks.
• Company class/rehearsals begin Friday, September 8, 2023.
• Members and apprentices are to check the bulletin board each time they are at the studio to find out when their rehearsals are scheduled for the week. Changes may occur during the week.
• When missing rehearsals when choreography is taught, members and apprentices must schedule a private lesson with the company choreographer to learn what they missed. This private must be scheduled BEFORE the missed rehearsal and must take place in the week BEFORE the next rehearsal.
