Terilynne Muehleisen Knox
Artistic Director/Owner. Former member of the Central Pennsylvania Ballet, Bristol Ballet and Roanoke Ballet. BA degree in the teaching of ballet from Virginia Intermont College.
BA degree in dance from Adelphi University. Founder, principal dancer and soloist with the Contemporary Ballet Company of Oyster Bay. Principal dancer and soloist with Dance Theatre of Long Island, Zawacki Ballet Company and Orlando Ballet, New York.
Danced with Gene Kelly and Radio City Rockettes. On the board of directors of the Pan American Teachers of Dance.
Butler University BA cum laude and University of North Carolina-Greensboro MFA. Professor at University of North Carolina-Charlotte teaching ballet technique, history and repertory. Taught at Ballet Hispanico and for Zena Rommet in New York City. Trained extensively with the Martha Graham and David Howard Schools. Performed as soloist with four major companies.
Danced with the Atlanta Ballet and the Ballet Rotaru, touring Romania and performing at the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest. Danced as a soloist with the Oregon Ballet Theatre for three years. After relocating to NC, performed as a guest artist with area companies.
Trained with Freedom Theatre and Dance Kidz in Jazz, Modern, Tap, Ballet, and African. He went to University of the Arts, where he received his BFA in Jazz Performance. He performed with Dance Theatre X, Philadelphia Opera Company, has received numerous awards such as Outstanding Choreography and Contemporary Ensemble 1st Place in the Semi-Finals of Youth America Grand Prix.
Attended the North Carolina School of the Arts. Dancer with San Antonio Ballet, the Zurich Ballet, the Kathryn Posin Dance, the Connecticut Ballet Theater, the Stars of the Soviet Ballet and North Carolina Dance Theatre.
BS degree in dance education from East Carolina University, magna cum laude. Performed with East Carolina Dance Theatre and Mid-Atlantic Dance Festival.
